SCSRT Scholarly Writing Award

The purpose of the award is to promote scholarly writing among SCSRT members for the purpose of sharing new ideas or techniques in the radiation therapy profession.

Participants must be ARRT registered radiation therapists with current SCSRT membership or students in a JRCERT accredited radiation therapy program with current SCSRT membership.  Current board members are eligible as the papers are reviewed by an outside source.

First Prize - $500.00 cash award plus Midwinter registration in 2003.
Honorable Mention - $250.00 cash award plus Midwinter registration in 2003.
To be eligible for the 2002 award, entries must be postmarked by Monday, October 1, 2002.

Requirements

  • Paper must be typed (12 pt. font)
  • 1 inch margins
  • Include references
  • No identification of author or department is to be contained in the paper
  • Author’s name and address should be sent on a separate sheet of paper
  • Suggested word minimum of 3000 words

Papers will be judged on originality, creativity, accuracy, grammar/punctuation, and references. Current SCSRT board members are eligible.
